At Contentphilic, your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and our 8-Dimension Content Audit Tool, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
This policy applies to contentphilic.com and to app.contentphilic.com, where the audit tool itself runs.
Contentphilic is operated by M/S Auxinity Ventures, registered in India.
1. Who We Are
Contentphilic is offered by Auxinity Ventures, based in India. We provide an AI-assisted content audit tool for small businesses and solopreneurs, along with related paid reports and content strategy services. For any privacy questions, contact us at aakanksha[at]contentphilic.com.
Because we serve customers outside India, including in the EU, UK, and elsewhere, this policy also explains the additional rights available to those users (see Section 9).
2. Information We Collect
a) Information you give us directly
When you run an audit, we collect:
- Business details: business name, industry, website URL, email address
- Questionnaire answers: your target audience, business goals, brand voice description, budget range, how long you’ve been active online, and the similar context you provide
- Content you choose to share: pasted captions, post text, your Instagram/LinkedIn/etc. bio, and links to content you’re proud of
- Social handles and self-reported stats: usernames, follower counts, average likes/comments/views, and posting frequency for the platforms you tell us about
- Names or handles of competitors you mention for comparison
- Payment information, if you purchase the Full Report or Content Strategy Package. Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by PayPal; we do not store your card number
- Feedback you submit after receiving your report, including ratings and free-text responses
Running the free audit does not require creating an account or a password.
b) Information we collect automatically
On our marketing website, we use cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) to understand site traffic and improve the site. This may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time on site. See Section 6 for more on cookies.
c) Information we collect from public sources
To generate your audit, our system reads publicly available information from:
- Your own website (page titles, headings, meta descriptions, calls to action, word count, and mobile performance via Google’s PageSpeed Insights)
- Your public social media profiles, using the handles you provide (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and others, where supported)
- Public profiles or websites of competitors you name, for comparison purposes only
We only access information that is publicly visible. We do not request or use login credentials to access private or gated content on any platform.
d) Information about other businesses
If you name competitors in your questionnaire, we collect and process publicly available information about those businesses (such as their public content and posting patterns) solely to generate your competitive analysis. We do not contact competitors or use this data for any purpose beyond your report.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Generate your content audit scores and written analysis
- Produce and deliver your PDF report by email
- Process payment and deliver the Full Report or Content Strategy Package if you purchase one
- Send you a feedback request after your report is delivered, and act on the feedback you give us
- Apply any credit you’re owed if you upgrade from the Full Report to the Content Strategy Package
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain and improve the audit tool itself (for example, fixing bugs or improving scoring accuracy)
- Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing unless you’ve opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email at any time.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. How Your Data Is Analyzed (AI Disclosure)
Generating your audit involves sending the business and content information described in Section 2 to Anthropic’s Claude API for automated analysis. This is a commercial API arrangement, not the consumer Claude.ai product. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, your data is not used to train their AI models.
For the paid Full Report, a human also reviews the AI-generated analysis before delivery.
5. Who We Share Your Information With
We share information with service providers who help us run the audit tool and deliver your report. We do not allow these providers to use your data for their own purposes.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Analyzing your content and generating audit findings |
| Supabase | Database and secure file storage for submissions and report PDFs |
| Resend | Sending your report, confirmation, and feedback emails |
| PayPal | Processing payments for paid tiers |
| Google (PageSpeed Insights, Analytics) | Website performance scoring; site traffic analytics |
| Inngest | Running background jobs (e.g., scraping, report generation, scheduled emails) |
| Hostinger | Website and application hosting |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
If Contentphilic is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we’ll notify you if this happens.
6. Cookies
Our marketing website uses cookies for analytics and site functionality, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect some site functionality. The audit tool itself does not require a login and does not use marketing or advertising cookies.
7. International Data Transfers
We are based in India, but several of our service providers (including Anthropic, Supabase, Resend, and PayPal) operate infrastructure outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. This means your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or the provider’s own compliance certifications (for example, Anthropic offers a Data Processing Addendum for GDPR purposes).
8. Data Retention
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Questionnaire answers, scraped data, and AI-generated analysis: retained for 12 months from your submission, so we can provide support, regenerate a report if needed, or apply an upgrade credit. After that, we delete or anonymize this data unless you ask us to do so sooner, or unless you re-engage with us.
- Report PDFs and purchase records: retained for as long as needed to support your purchase, and in any case, as required by applicable tax and accounting laws.
- Feedback responses: retained for as long as useful for improving the product, then anonymized.
- Marketing site analytics: retained per Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time (see Section 9), subject to records we’re legally required to keep.
9. Your Rights
For all users
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Withdraw consent or unsubscribe from emails at any time
To exercise any of these, email aakanksha[at]contentphilic.com.
If you’re in the EU or UK (GDPR)
In addition to the rights above, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable
- Restriction of how we process your data in certain circumstances
- Data portability, to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including for direct marketing
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we’ve mishandled your data
Our legal basis for processing your data:
- Generating and delivering your audit report: performance of a contract (you’ve requested the service)
- Optional fields like content samples, competitor names, and feedback: your consent, given by submitting them
- Marketing emails: consent, which you can withdraw at any time
- Fraud prevention and legal compliance: legitimate interest and legal obligation
We respond to verified rights requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
If you’re in India
We process your personal data in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable, and the rights described above apply to you as well.
Other jurisdictions
If you’re in a region with its own privacy law not specifically addressed here (for example, certain US states), similar rights to access, correct, and delete your information generally apply. Contact us, and we’ll handle your request under the relevant law.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting, access controls, and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The audit tool is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us, and we’ll delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
Our website and reports may link to third-party sites (for example, your own website or social profiles, or PayPal’s checkout). We aren’t responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. Review their policies before sharing personal information with them.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to check back periodically.
